KEIICHI TANAKA

Keiichi Tanaka likes to focus his work around the concept of “Time Accumulation” from objects that feel as though they were made a long time ago.

By firing clay Keiichi states that one is able to stop the moment and permanently retain an expression of time passing and dissolving.

In the same way as clay stops time, Tanaka’s works are inspired by old agricultural tools and folk instruments. He imagines these relics of time to blend in with our day to day lives and continuously be a reminder that time keeps moving and changing the way we live.
