Katie quit her corporate lawyer job nine years ago to devote herself to creating with clay and sharing her love of ceramics through her work.  To her, clay and ceramics represent the human story of pursuing possibilities, trusting the process of transformation and accepting change.  Having grown up in both Taiwan and New York City, Katie is influenced by artistic traditions both East and West – the nuances of sumi ink, the clean lines of Brancusi, the versatility of Noguchi, and the colors of Monet.  Her sculptures invite us to experience the layers and textures of our space.
