After practicing corporate law for 14 years, Katie Yang decided to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming an artist. She's devoted herself to that dream for the last decade, creating ceramic sculptures that are influenced by her Asian-American background. The nuances of Chinese ink, the clean lines of Brancusi, the versatility of Noguchi, and the colors of Monet ... Her sculptures allow one to experience the layers, dimensionality and textures of different cultures.

Yang often installs her work in groups, striving to create a dialogue amongst the pieces as well as with the viewer—a visual conversation.
