    Based in New York City, Katie Yang’s ceramic practice is rooted in reinvention, material sensitivity, and the quiet power of form. A former corporate lawyer, she left behind the rigor of legal practice to embrace a more tactile, intuitive mode of expression. Her transition from law to ceramics reflects a personal search for balance, presence, and authenticity—values now embedded in every piece she creates.
    Katie’s work emphasizes simplicity, subtle texture, and quiet beauty. Her ceramics have been exhibited nationally, including at Art Basel Miami, and she was commissioned for a sculptural project by collector Abe Rosen for 11 Howard in New York.
