"Closest to the Cross" Kutani-yaki originated in 1655. In its over 350 year history, there have been many mysterious happenings. Unprecedented ostentatious designs, detailed painting that require the greatest skills. It ceased to exist, then reinstated itself - a history riddled with puzzles.
