HIROTA GLASS

Founded in 1899 by Kinta Hirota, Hirota Glass prides itself as one of Tokyo’s most enduring glassmakers, and pioneers in the art of traditional Japanese glass.

In more recent years, the signature “Hirota-Glass Look” is one that brings European glass-making techniques and Japanese aesthetics together. And while this unique, contemporary blend marks many of their pieces, Hirota Glass is also known for its faithful reproduction of Satsuma Kiriko glass, a craft developed during Japan’s Edo period.

The ability to both reinvent and preserve tradition is showcased by the wide aesthetic range of their products.
