Lacquer artist, Gen Saratani, had an opportunity to work for a project, requested from our customer. This unique project is painting two fishes on the center of large blue celadon bowl made by Stephen Rodriguez.
We followed his each process, glad to share with you.

Auspicious omens motif form china, two fishes facing each other. This lucky motif often uses as an embarrassment of riches or prosperity for children.
