Kumiko Ono Bernard
Okinawa-born Japanese-American ceramic artist living in France.
Her studio is located in Verrieres-le-Buisson, 11 kilometers south of Paris.
Wheel-thrown domestic ware and studio pieces in stoneware are high-fired at 1260°C in an electric kiln. Predominantly ash based glazes are used on the tea bowls, teapots, bowls of all sizes and pitchers.
Inspiration comes from the natural world, birds, cows and snow monkeys.
